The Baby Yogi

Most people turn to yoga to keep their body weight and shape in check. This mom is Hilaria Baldwin, wife of actor Alec Baldwin and co-founder of New York-based yoga studio chain Yoga Vida. She looks to be keen on passing down some simple poses to her daughter, Carmen. What’s fascinating is the venue of their mini-session: the train!

Children naturally like to kick and stretch their legs, and it’s crucial as it keeps their bones and muscles stronger as they develop. It would be adorable if they could recreate this photo once the daughter is older, as they both seem to be enjoying their yoga time together.

The Queen Is Here

Drag culture has been around since the 16th century. It has evolved with time, and the emergence of drag queens has boosted the industry’s ability to produce some iconic personalities in society. It’s not every day you see a drag queen riding the subway, but this one did.

The lady went all out with her style, and it seems to us that the woman sitting next to her liked it. The drag culture is used for self-expression and even mainstream performances. Whatever her reasons were, this drag queen definitely impressed and props to her being confident to ride the subway undisturbed.

No Pole? No Problem

The subway is the quickest and easiest way to commute around most towns. However, riding a train during rush hours can be a problem, as you may be forced to endure congestion and even ride while standing. Most trains provide poles or grab handles, but you may run out of provisions to hold on to avoid falling.

Only this lady knows what she must have experienced on the train that made her always stay prepared. When the poles were all occupied, she surprised everyone when she pulled out a toilet plunger, stuck it to the roof, and held it to maintain balance. We can only hope she disinfected it properly before bringing it!

One Woman Down

When it’s a night out, everything has to be perfect, regardless of the means of commuting to refreshment joints. It was all beauty and glamour for these girls heading to the club by train to party the night away, but it seems one of them got overexcited.

Escalators injure thousands of people and even cause deaths in America every year. The lady might have been too busy on her phone that she didn’t notice when it was time to get off the escalator. Her friends were able to find humor and sneak a laugh before helping her. We hope the mishap wasn’t serious enough to disrupt the girls’ night out.

The Most Hilarious Moments, Things, And People You’ll Encounter On The Subway

Yoga is among the best exercises for mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. The woman above seems to be a yoga veteran due to the excellent poses she’s doing. However, her case is unique because of the environment in which she decided to do her yoga.

While it’s advisable to have yoga sessions in an orderly and visually appealing space, she decided to have hers inside a train where people surrounded her. You have to give her credit for holding her poses inside a moving train, whether she saw it as the perfect opportunity to do her yoga or she just wanted to go viral.

One for the Socials

There are people who thrive on posting on social media and would go to any lengths to get the perfect picture for their audience. This was the case for Jessica George, who went above and beyond just to get it right. She made headlines for her confidence in having a photoshoot on the train.

A fellow passenger took a video of her striking poses, posting it on Twitter. The clip went viral in 2019, accumulating over nine million views. Everyone who reacted to the photoshoot praised her powerful confidence, and she was nicknamed “Subway Bae.” Unsurprisingly, most people began feeling more comfortable taking pictures on the subway after her story.

2023 FIBA World Cup: Team USA takes first loss of tournament against Lithuania

Team USA's undefeated record is history after a 110-104 loss Sunday to Lithuania in the Group Phase of the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Coming back from a 17-point deficit at the half, Team USA fought to get the score to within two possessions for much of the fourth quarter. The Americans came within range after a 15-2 run in the third quarter, but never seemed poised to take the victory.

Despite the outcome, both teams will advance in the tournament. The matchup determined seeding for the upcoming quarterfinals, which begin Tuesday. Team USA has also already qualified for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

"I hate losing, I probably won't sleep much tonight," head coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the loss. "But for us to get better, we needed to feel this. We needed to lose the way we did."

Anthony Edwards continues to show his strength with Team USA, posting 35 points Sunday in an unwavering performance. The 22-year-old finished just three points shy of Kevin Durant's single-game World Cup team scoring record. Mikal Bridges added 14 points. Jaren Jackson Jr.'s presence was sorely missed, as the big man picked up two quick fouls and finished with three points and one rebound before fouling out.

For Lithuania, Mindaugas Kuzminskas (14 points), Vaidas Kariniauskas (15) and Jonas Valančiūnas (12) were the top scorers. But the victory was a credit to the team's overall size and depth.

Lithuania was dominant in the first half, controlling the boards and leading 54-37 going into the break. Shooting was the major difference, as Team USA went 3-of-10 from deep. Lithuania was much more efficient, going 9-for-12 from three in the first half.

Is Arsenal vs Man Utd on TV? How to watch, channel and live stream online today

Arsenal host Manchester United on Sunday in the big match of the Premier League weekend, with the Gunners still unbeaten after three matches this term and aiming to go one better after finishing runners-up last term.

While summer signings Kai Havertz and Declan Rice are still finding their feet somewhat in the team, Mikel Arteta is trying to make the team more offensive-minded without sacrificing defensive balance. Jurrien Timber, however, is already out for the campaign with a knee injury.

Man United were busy on transfer deadline day with both incomings and outgoings, but with Erik ten Hag’s team being underwhelming - to put it kindly - with their performances so far, an improvement is needed quickly, particularly in these bigger fixtures.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match; get all the latest football odds here and the latest offers and tips ahead of Arsenal against Man United here.

Spending Father's Day in Egypt

Squadron Leader Matt Daley has missed plenty of the day-to-day rhythm of family life while deployed to the Levant.

And while this Father’s Day will also be spent far from home in the Middle East, his two children are at front of mind.

Squadron Leader Daley deployed in January with the Australian contingent on Operation Paladin, the ADF's designation for the support to the United Nations Truce Supervision Organisation (UNTSO).

“I first worked in the Golan Heights to assist Israel and Syria observe the 1974 Agreement on Disengagement,” Squadron Leader Daley said.

“A few months ago I transferred to liaison office Cairo as the deputy chief, assisting to maintain good relationships with Egyptian officials and UN organisations in Cairo on behalf of the UNTSO Head of Mission.”

It is a long way from where Squadron Leader Daley usually works at RAAF Base East Sale in Victoria, coordinating Defence support to community aid.

His role on return to Australia will be helping to develop the next generation of pilots.

“I joined Defence wanting to be a part of something bigger, something with meaning,” Squadron Leader Daley said.

“23 years later I still have the same passion for service.”

While he stills love his work, Squadron Leader Daley admits that the time away from his wife and two boys Archer (7) and Lachlan (5) has been difficult.

“I’ve missed birthdays, visits from the tooth fairy, helping out with homework, school events and sporting achievements,” he said.

“The hardest part is not being able to help out at home during the challenging times.”

The separation is made easier by those he has met along the way.

“It wouldn’t be the same without the great people I serve with, wherever they are in the world,” Squadron Leader Daley said.

“But I’m definitely looking forward to seeing my kids’ little smiles, and helping them grow.”
